Salary: somewhat flexible. The position is as a full time Pastor/Elder–Premus inter pares. We are considering candidates who have been in leadership positions, preferably for at least 10 years at a Reformed Baptist church or equivalent church.

The following are essential duties of the Pastor/Elder in his service to God and employment at Sovereign Grace Fellowship (The elder/pastors share in these duties):
- Lead in prayer and the encouragement of prayer.
- Deliver expository sermons on Sundays (typically 40-50min).
- Counsel and biblically shepherd individuals, marriages, and families.
- Take part in elder meetings as a fellow elder.
- Occasionally oversee deacon meetings and give biblical guidance.
- Disciple and encourage men in moral living and leadership (formally and informally).
- Disciple and encourage the deacons in their sphere of service to the church.
- Disciple and encourage those serving the church in various capacities.
- Take part in various fellowship events, giving direction, encouragement.
- Take part in, help, and encourage those serving in Sunday School ministries.
- Become familiar with like-minded pastors in the local area.
- Collaborate with fellow elders on positional statements.
- Collaborate with fellow elders on church liturgy, polity, and administration.
- Provide various counseling needs as they should arise in church life.
